We collect your name, email, phone number, date of birth, photos, and precise GPS location. We also collect unique device identifiers (Device ID) for security and anti-fraud purposes, and usage metrics via RevenueCat for subscription management.
For identity verification, we use facial recognition technology to match your live selfie against your profile photo or government ID. This biometric data is used solely for verification and fraud prevention. We do not store facial templates once the verification process is complete.
We collect and process your precise GPS location to facilitate matching with nearby users. You can disable location access in your device settings, but the app’s core functionality (Pulses) will be unavailable.
Audio and video data during “Pulses” is processed in real-time by Agora, our third-party infrastructure provider. Kova does not record or store the contents of your Pulses, though we may collect metadata (duration, participants) for safety and quality purposes.
We share data with third-party service providers including Stripe (Identity), Agora (Video/Audio), RevenueCat (Payments), and Supabase (Infrastructure). We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
We retain your data as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, most data is removed within 30 days, though certain logs and identifiers may be kept for up to 90 days to comply with safety requirements and anti-fraud policies.
We use your phone number for one-time verification codes via SMS. Standard carrier rates apply. We do not use your phone number for marketing.
