Child Safety Standards

Kova is a dating app for adults. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any content or behavior that sexualizes or endangers minors.

Kova is for adults 18 and older only

Every member must be at least 18 years old. Before anyone can use Kova, they must complete identity verification, including:

• —Phone number verification
• —A selfie liveness check with age estimation
• —Government ID verification for accounts flagged by our checks

Accounts that cannot be verified as belonging to an adult are not allowed on Kova.

What is prohibited

Kova prohibits, without exception:

• —Any person under 18 using the app
• —Sharing, requesting, or displaying sexual content involving minors in any form
• —Attempting to contact, groom, or exploit a minor through Kova or by moving a conversation off Kova
• —Any content or conduct that sexualizes minors

How to report a concern

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement right away.

What we do when a concern is reported

• —We review child safety reports as our highest priority.
• —We immediately suspend accounts involved while we investigate, and permanently ban accounts that violate these standards.
• —We preserve relevant information and report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.
• —Banned members are blocked from creating new accounts using the same phone number or device.
